What we collect
- Information you give us in forms: name, email, phone, ZIP code, details about your home and energy use, and messages.
- Calculator inputs stay in your browser. We don't receive them unless you submit a form.
- Automatic information collected by our advertising and hosting providers: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and cookie identifiers.
How we use it
- To answer your messages and fulfill quote requests.
- To send the newsletter you asked for (unsubscribe any time).
- To run contests, review applications and manage partnerships.
- To keep the site secure and understand which pages are useful.
Quote requests
When you request quotes, we share your request with no more than three solar companies serving your area, or fewer if you choose. You can choose email-only contact. We may receive a fee from those companies. We don't sell your information to data brokers.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Service providers
Hosting by GitHub Pages; form delivery by FormSubmit; fonts by Google Fonts; videos by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (nothing loads until you press play).
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contact, through the contact form (choose "Privacy request"). Residents of California, Canada, the UK and the EU have additional rights under local law, and we honor them. We respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Student contest entries from minors require parental consent.
Retention and security
We keep form submissions only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, generally no more than 24 months, and protect them with reasonable safeguards.
