Compare solar quotes from up to 3 local installers

Six quick questions. You'll see your estimate before we ask for any contact details, and you decide who may reach out.

Step 1 of 6

Where is the home?

Prices, sunshine and incentives depend on location.

  • Free, no obligation
  • Shared with 3 companies at most
  • Email-only option
  • Unsubscribe any time

Why compare three quotes?

Installed prices for the same home commonly differ by 20% or more between companies. On a $20,000 system that's $4,000 for an hour of reading. Three quotes also show you which equipment and warranties are normal in your area.

What happens next

  1. We email your estimate within minutes.
  2. We match you with up to three licensed, insured installers serving your ZIP (or fewer if you chose).
  3. Each installer reviews satellite imagery and sends a quote. Most also offer a free site visit.
  4. Compare them with our quote checklist. Pick one, or none.

Renting, or on a tight budget?

You don't need a roof you own. Try the plug-in solar calculator, read about solar for renters, or size a portable power station.

Quote request questions

Is it really free?

Yes. You never pay Simple.solar anything. Like most quote services, we may receive a referral fee from installers, which keeps the site free. It doesn't change your price or our calculators.

Will I get a lot of phone calls?

No. Your request is shared with no more than three companies, and you can choose one installer or email only. Every company must honor opt-out requests immediately.

How accurate is the instant estimate?

It's a planning number based on your state's average electricity price and sunshine, a typical installed price per watt, and your bill. Real quotes account for your roof's angle, shade, local permits and equipment, so expect them to differ.

What makes an installer "vetted"?

Partners must hold the licenses your state requires, carry liability and workers' compensation insurance, offer a written workmanship warranty, and agree to our no-pressure sales standards. Complaints are reviewed, and partners who break the rules are removed.

I'm an installer. How do I receive leads?

See the installer partner page to apply for exclusive or shared homeowner requests in your service area.
